Burnett Livestock and Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday, 2nd March saw a yarding of 2780 head.
Cattle drawn from Duaringa, Wandoan, Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Miva, Proston, Tiaro, Imbil, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Maryborough, Childers, Rosedale, Miriam Vale and surrounding districts.
Brangus cows and calves from Wallaville sold for $1950. Brahman cross cows and calves from Bundaberg sold for $1900. Droughtmaster cows and calves from Gin Gin sold for $2025. Most cows and calves sold from $1400 to $1800.
Four tooth Brangus bullocks from Booyal sold for 480c/$2573. Four and six tooth Droughtmaster cross bullocks from Biggenden sold for 478c/$2851. Four and six tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Gayndah sold for 470c/$2831. Four to eight tooth Santa Gertrudis Hereford cross bullocks from Wandoan sold for 478c/$2609–$3532.
