Burnett Livestock and Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Thursday, 8th December 2026 saw a yarding of 1611 head.
Cattle were drawn from Duaringa, Theodore, Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Booubyjan, Cloyna, Brigooda, Speedwell, Crownthorpe, Woolooga, Tiaro, Childers, Rosedale, Gin Gin and Miriam Vale.
Two Tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Bungadoo sold for 434c/$2192. Four tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Bundaberg sold for 424c/$2926. Four tooth Brangus bullocks from Miriam Vale sold for 414c/$2309.
Six tooth Charbray heifers from Yandaran sold for 430c/$2323. Four and six tooth Brangus heifers from Biggenden sold for 424c/$2231. Four and six tooth Simmental cross heifers from Gin Gin sold for 428c/$2426. Four tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Gin Gin sold for 426c/$2067.
Romagnola cows from Biggenden sold for 394c/$2503. Red Brangus cows from Gin Gin sold for 388c/$2193. Grey Brahman cows from Gayndah sold for 386c/$2267. Brangus cows from Booyal sold for 384c/$2305. Simmental cross cows from Gin Gin sold for 382c/$2528. Most fat cows from 360-380c/kg and the medium fat cows from 330-350c/kg and not many store cows in the yarding from 220-320c/kg depending on age and type.
An outstanding line of milk to four tooth Santa and Santa Angus cross steers from Duaringa sold well with heavier two and four tooth steers for 520c/$2353 to $2562 and the heavy milk tooth steers for 546c/$2162 and the lighter milk tooth steers for 564c/$1822-$2346. Milk and two tooth Brangus steers from Miriam Vale sold for 516c/$2228. Milk and two tooth Santa Brahman cross steers from Gin Gin sold from 4492-516c/$1944-$2157.
