Burnett Livestock and Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 1 December 2025 saw a yarding of 2741 head.
Cattle were drawn from Gogango, Theodore, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Murgon, Booubyjan, Cloyna, Kilkivan, Woolooga, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Tiaro, Childers, Gin Gin, Rosedale, Miriam Vale, Bororen and all local areas.
Mixed aged Red Brangus cows and calves from Wallaville sold for $1940. Brangus cross cows and calves from Coalstoun Lakes sold for $1960. Brahman cows and calves from Lowmead sold for $1860. Droughtmaster cows and calves from Childers sold for $2000.
Four and six tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Mount Perry sold for 480c/$2481. Two and four tooth Charbray cross bullocks from Gympie sold for 470c/$3032. Four tooth Charbray bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 472c/$2924.
Four and six tooth Belgian Blue cross heifers from Biggenden sold for 434c/$2071. Six tooth Red Brahman cross heifers from Mundubbera sold for 430c/$2151. Four tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Childers sold for 406c/$1787. Six tooth Charbray heifers from Childers sold for 408c/$2061.
Santa cows from Chinchilla sold for 408c/$2481. Simmental cross cows from Gayndah sold for 406c/$2553. Brahman cross cows from Mundubbera sold for 408c/$2398. Brahman cross cows for Gayndah sold for 402c/$1870. Most fat cows sold for 380-400c/kg and the medium frame fat cows for 350-370c/kg and the store cows for 240-310c/kg.
