Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 10 March 2025 saw a yarding of 1421 head.
Cattle were drawn from Theodore, Mount Larcom, Ubobo, 1770, Miriam Vale, Bororen, Rosedale, Bundaberg, Gin Gin, Childers, Tiaro, Maryborough, Sexton, Eumundi, Goomeri, Murgon, Crownthorpe, Brooweena, Hivesville, Cloyne, Wooroonden, Cushnie, Coolabunia, Mundubbera, Gayndah and all local areas.
Eight tooth Simbrah cross bullocks from South Kolan sold for 326c/$2413. Four and six tooth Red Brahman cross bullocks from Bundaberg sold for 324c/$1950. Two and four tooth Charbray bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 330c/$1860.
Two and six tooth Brahman heifers from Eidsvold sold four 316c/$1628. Six tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Gin Gin sold for 322c/$1538. Two tooth Limousin cross heifers from Bundaberg sold for 326c/$1565. Six tooth Brahman heifers from Gin Gin sold for 332c/$1760.
Brangus cows from Biggenden sold for 298c/$1625. Heavy Simbrah cows from Coolabunia sold for 286c/$2046. Brahman cross cows from Gayndah sold for 296c/$1836. Red Brahman cows from Goomeri sold for 296c/$1592. Most fat cows sold for 270-290c/kg and store cows for 210-245c/kg.
