Burnett Livestock and Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 14 July 2025 saw a yarding of 2523 head.
Cattle were drawn from Wandoan, Sarina, Mount Larcom, Miriam Vale, 1770, Rosedale, Bundaberg, Gin Gin, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Tiaro, Kenilworth, Murgon, Booubyjan, Cloyna, Gayndah, Mundubbera, Eidsvold and all local areas.
Charbray cross cows and calves from Elliott Heads sold for $1450. A line of Senepol cross cows and calves from 1770 sold for $950-$1500. Santa cows and calves from Mundubbera sold for $1600.
Eight tooth Brangus and Droughtmaster bullocks from Biggenden sold for 338c/$2652. Eight tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Gayndah sold for 330c/$2005. Two and four tooth Droughtmaster cross bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 344c/$2113. Six tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Miriam Vale sold for 342c/$2429.
Six tooth Droughtmaster cross heifers from Miriam Vale sold for 318c/$1479. Four tooth Simmental cross heifers from Kenilworth sold for 320c/$1793. Four tooth Grey Brahman heifers from Gin Gin sold for 316c/$1391.
Droughtmaster cows from Miriam Vale sold for 290c/$1545. Charbray cows from Brooweena sold for 288c/$1772. Grey Brahman cows from Mount Larcom sold for 280c/$1652. Droughtmaster cows from Mount Perry sold for 278c/$1673. Droughtmaster cows from Gayndah sold for 280c/$1505. Most fat cows sold for 260-290c/kg and the good store cows for 210-240c/kg.
