Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks and Store sale on Monday 16 June 2025 saw a yarding of 2063 head.
Cattle were drawn from Theodore, Chinchilla, Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Booubyjan, Murgon, Rosedale, Bundaberg, Gin Gin and all local areas.
Eight tooth Brahman bullocks from Gayndah sold for 348c/$2515. Eight tooth Simbrah bullocks from Childers sold for 340c/$2364. A line of two to eight tooth Brahman cross and black Limousin cross bullocks from Monto sold from 332c-340c/$1771-$2250. Two and four tooth Santa and Brangus bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 342c/$2190. Four tooth Brahman bullocks from Wallaville sold for 339c/$2106.
Two to six tooth speyed Shorthorn cross heifers from Mount Perry sold for 314c/$1658. Four tooth Santa cross heifers from Mundubbera sold for 312c/$1779. Four and six tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Goomeri sold for 317c/$1691. Four tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Gayndah sold for 320c/$1515. Four and six tooth Brangus heifers from Mount Perry sold for 316c/$1727.
Grey Brahman cows from Goodnight Scrub sold for 284c/$1847. Limousin cross cows from Childers sold for 276c/$1649. Red Brangus cows from Wallaville sold for 270c/$1571. Droughtmaster cows from Mount Perry sold for 274c/$1707. Belgian Blue cows from Biggenden sold for 290c/$1895. Santa cows from Chinchilla sold for 274c/$1731. Braford cows from Theodore sold for 274c/$1886. Most fat cows sold for 250-270c/kg and the store cows for 180-230c/kg.
