Feeder Steers Sell to 536c/kg At Biggenden
Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 17 November 2025 saw a yarding of 1691 head.
Cattle were drawn from Eumundi, Kandanga, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Tiaro, Bundaberg, Rosedale, 1770, Miriam Vale, Gin Gin, Gayndah, Mundubbera, Murgon, Proston, Hivesville, Cushnie and all local areas.
Charbray cows and calves from Promise Land sold for $2150. Grey Brahman cows and calves from Goodnight Scrub sold for $1900. Brahman cross cows and calves from Bundaberg sold for $1850. Charbray cows and calves from Gin Gin sold for $2000.
Six tooth Charbray bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 480c/$2881. Four tooth Brahman bullocks from Gayndah sold for 470c/$2445. Two and four tooth Charbray bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 468c/$2565. Four and six tooth Santa cross bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 478c/$2407.
Two and four tooth Speckle heifers from Bundaberg sold for 428c/$1793. Two and four tooth Charbray heifers from Coringa sold for 434c/$1946. Six tooth Droughtmaster cross heifers from Mundubbera sold for 426c/$1988.
Charbray cows from Goodnight scrub sold for 418c/$2494. Brahman cross cows from Biggenden sold for 398c/$1941. Brahman cows from Woowoonga sold for 400c/$2361. Santa cross cows from Mundubbera sold for 408c/$1877. Charbray cows from Biggenden sold for 414c/$2443. Charbray cows from Coringa sold for 412c/$2514.
Most fat cows sold for 370-400c/kg. The medium frame cows sold for 340-370c/kg. Store cows sold for 270-350c/kg depending on age.

F1 Simmental cross weaner heifers from Lowmead sold for 380c/$883. Charolais cross weaner heifers from Biggenden sold for 388c/$883. Most Euro cross weaner heifers sold for 340-380c/kg and the vealer types selling for 320-350c/kg and the store types selling for 240-300c/kg.
