Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 2 June 2025 saw a rain affected yarding of 1200 head. Catte were drawn from Theodore, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Booubyjan, Murgon, Widgee, Lower Wonga, Tiaro, Hervey Bay, Gin Gin, Childers, Lowmead, Rosedale and all local areas.
Two and four tooth Brahman cross bullocks from Mundubbera sold for 343c/$2142. Two tooth Brangus bullocks from Bundaberg sold for 342c/$2015. Four to eight tooth Simmental cross bullocks from Coalstoun Lakes sold for 338c/$2051. Six tooth Simmental cross bullocks from Beeron sold for 334c/$1804.
Two to six tooth Charbray heifers from Gaeta sold for 318c/$1785. Milk and two tooth Red Brangus heifers from Gin Gin sold for 312c/$1412. Six tooth Brangus heifers from Wallaville sold for 314c/$1733. Four tooth Angus cross heifers from Wilson Valley sold for 308c/$1777.
Charbray cows from Biggenden sold for 282c/$1834. Grey Brahman cows from Gayndah sold for 280c/$1797. Red Brangus cows from Gin Gin sold for 276c/$1631. Angus cross cows from Wilson Valley sold for 278c/$1802. Most fat cows sold for 250-280c/kg and store cows for 230-250c/kg.
Very few cows and calves were yarded selling from $820-$1700.

Milk tooth Charolais steers from Bauple sold for 412c/$1185. Milk tooth Droughtmaster steers from Childers sold for 422c/$1393. Milk tooth Santa steers from Rosedale sold for 398c/$1555. Milk tooth crossbred steers from 1770 sold for 366c/$1184. Milk tooth Charolais cross steers from Nikenbah sold for 380c/$1045.
Simmental cross weaner steers from Gayndah sold for 370c/$1073. Brangus weaner steers from Mundubbera sold for 396c/$938. Droughtmaster weaner steers from Gin Gin sold for 368c/$1123. Droughtmaster weaner steers from Miriam Vale sold for 360c/$1062. Most weaner steers sold for 320-380c/kg.
Milk and two tooth Charbray heifers from Dalga sold for 324c/$1476. Milk tooth heifers from Theodore sold for 296c/$1086. Milk and two tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Gaeta sold for 298c/$1047. Milk tooth Santa heifers from Mundubbera sold for 314c/$1225. Milk tooth Brangus heifers from Gaeta sold for 300c/$1062. Most feeder heifers sold for 270-300c/kg.
Due to our upcoming weaner sale next week, not many weaner heifers were yarded but mostly sold for 240-270c/kg.
