Cows & Calves sell to $2000 at Biggenden
Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 24 February 2025 saw a yarding of 1955 head. Cattle were drawn from Dawes, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Goomeri, Murgon, Tiaro, Maryborough, Childers, Miriam Vale, Lowmead, Ubobo and all local areas.
Four and six tooth Charbray cross bullocks from Bundaberg sold for 350c/$2020. Four tooth Brangus bullocks from Mundubbera sold for 348c/$1971. Two tooth Brahman bullocks from Bundaberg sold for 346c/$1748. Four tooth Brahman cross bullocks from Biggenden sold for 346c/$1966.
Milk and two tooth Crossbred heifers from Gayndah sold for 330c/$1560. Four tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Childers sold for 324c/$1491. Four and six tooth Droughtmaster cross heifers from Mungar sold for 322c/$1607. Four and six tooth Brangus heifers from Mount Perry sold for 316c/$1612. Four and six tooth Droughtmaster cross heifers from goodnight scrub sold for 316c/$1841.
Charbray cows from Gin Gin sold for 298c/$1858. Brahman cross cows from Bundaberg sold for 292c/$1383. Angus cross cows from Gayndah sold for 292c/$1665. Charbray cows from Biggenden sold for 292c/$1811. Euro cross cows from Boompa sold for 292c/$1636. Most good fat cows sold for 275-292c/kg and the medium frame fat cows for 260-280c/kg. Store cows sold for 210-240c/kg.
