Burnett Livestock and Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 25 August 2025 saw a yarding of 2470 head.
Cattle were drawn from Theodore, Mungungo, Agnes Waters, Oyster Creek, Rosedale, Miriam Vale, Gaeta, Bundaberg, Gin Gin, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Mount Perry, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Murgon, Booubyjan, Cloyna, Kilkivan, Hollywell and all local areas.
Two and four tooth Simbrah bullocks from Hollywell sold for 381c/$2068. Charolais cross bullocks from Boompa sold for 380c/$2528. Eight tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Miriam Vale sold for 348c/$2193. Four tooth Charolais cross bullocks from Dallarnil sold for 352c/$1725.
Four and six tooth red Brahman heifers from Theodore sold for 356c/$1929. Six tooth Santa heifers from Childers sold for 350c/$2101. Four tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Yerra sold for 336c/$1283. Six tooth Simbrah heifers from Hollywell sold for 350c/$2030.
Simmental cross cows from Gin Gin sold for 332c/$2159. Brahman cross cows from Hollywell sold for 324c/$2010. Red Brahman cows from Theodore sold for 328c/$1963. Charbray cross cows from Binjour sold for 324c/$1815. Droughtmaster cows from Mount Perry sold for 320c/$1638. Most fat cows sold for 300-330c/kg, medium frame fat cows for 270-290c/kg and store cows for 240-280c/kg.
