Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 25 November saw a yarding of 2830 head.
Cattle were drawn from Sarina, Gogango, Ubobo, Miriam Vale, Gin Gin, Rosedale, Bundaberg, Maryborough, Tiaro, Wolvi, Byee, Crownthorpe, Goomeri, Murgon, Gayndah, Mundubbera, Eidsvold, Theodore, Woolooga and all local areas.
Two tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Byee sold for 330c/$1915. Six and eight tooth Simmental cross bullocks from Coalstoun Lakes sold for 333c/$2111. Eight tooth Santa bullocks from Coalstoun Lakes sold for 308c/$2075. Eight tooth Brahman bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 314c/$1814.
Six tooth Santa heifers from Crownthorpe sold for 290c/$1668. Four and six tooth Brahman cross heifers from Brooweena sold for 290c/$1247. Four tooth Grey Brahman heifers from Gogango sold for 294c/$1252. Milk tooth Simmental cross heifers from Byee sold for 308c/$1413.
Belgian Blue cross cows from Biggenden sold for 302c/$1786. Droughtmaster cross cows from Biggenden sold for 290c/$1610. Simmental cross cows from Gin Gin sold for 302c/$1879. Brahman cross cows from Biggenden sold for 294c/$1347. Santa cows from Crownthorpe sold for 2952c/$1566. Simbrah cows from Childers sold for 292c/$1636.
A smaller yarding of cows and calves were on offer, selling to a top of $1750.
