Simmental cross weaner steers sell to 478c/kg at Biggenden
Burnett Livestock and Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 30 June 2025 saw a yarding of 2569 head.
Cattle were drawn from Theodore, Eidsvold, Monto, Mundubbera, Durong, Monogorilby, Gayndah, Goomeri, Murgon, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Bundaberg, Rosedale, Lowmead, Miriam Vale and all local areas.
Six and eight tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Miriam Vale sold for 330c/$2615. Six and eight tooth Brangus bullocks from Hervey Bay sold for 328c/$2666. Six and eight tooth Charolais cross steers from Gayndah sold for 334c/$2130.
Two to six tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Mount Perry sold for 316c/$1548. Four and six tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Miriam Vale sold for 316c/$1649. Six tooth Braford heifers from Theodore sold for 316c/$2007. Two and four tooth Angus cross heifers from Theodore sold for 306c/$1325.
Droughtmaster cross cows from Gayndah sold for 280c/$1567. Red Brahman cows from Lowmead sold for 282c/$1596. Limousin cross cows from Wallaville sold for 284c/$1672.
