Burnett Livestock and Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Thursday 9 October 2025 saw a yarding of 2591 head.
Cattle were drawn from Wandoan, Calliope, Miriam Vale, 1770, Rosedale, Gin Gin, Maryborough, Tiaro, Gayndah, Mundubbera, Eidsvold, Murgon, Goomeri, Tansey and all local areas.
Four tooth Brangus bullocks from Calliope sold for 420c/$2500. Six tooth Droughtmaster cross bullocks from Eidsvold sold for 420c/$2479. Four tooth Brangus bullocks from Murgon sold for 416c/$2233. Two tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Gayndah sold for 422c/$2191. Four tooth Braford bullocks from Gayndah sold for 408c/$2143.
Two tooth Brangus cross heifers from Calliope sold for 376c/$1770. Two tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Gayndah sold for 382c/$1901. Six tooth Simmental cross heifers from Goomeri sold for 386c/$2162. Two and four tooth Santa cross heifers from Tansey sold for 364c/$1916.
Charolais cows from Bundaberg sold for 370c/$2646. Droughtmaster cows from Biggenden sold for 350c/$2048. Santa cows from Eidsvold sold for 340c/$1990. Grey Brahman cows from Gayndah sold for 340c/$1881. Most fat cows sold for 320-350c/kg and the middle range fat cows sold for 290-320c/kg and the store cows for 240-290c/kg.
