Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday, 22nd June saw a yarding of 2300 head.
Cattle were drawn from Theodore, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Redgate, Kingaroy, Tiaro, Kilkivan, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Gin Gin, Bundaberg, Rosedale, Miriam Vale and all local areas.
Two to six tooth Simbrah bullocks from Hollywell sold for 440c/$2636. Four and six tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Tiaro sold for 440c/$2724. Two tooth Santa cross bullocks from Proston sold for 440c/$3059.
Four and six tooth Grey Brahman heifers from Gayndah sold for 418c/$2373. Two and four tooth Brangus heifers from Biggenden sold for 416c/$2216. Six tooth Brahman heifers from Childers sold for 428c/$2761. Six tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Gayndah sold for 408c/$2170.
Charolais cows from Maryborough sold for 374c/$2451. Brahman cows from Bundaberg sold for 368c/$2479. Droughtmaster cows from Gayndah sold for 370c/$2392. Charbray cows from Gayndah sold for 370c/$2609. Simmental cross cows from Eidsvold sold for 376c/$1761. Most fat cows sold from 350 to 370c/kg and the medium cows from 310-340c/kg and the younger store cows sold from 270 to 310c/kg and the older and lighter condition store cows sold from 120 to 230c/kg.
