Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday, 28th September saw a yarding of 2175 head.
Cattle were drawn from Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Tansey, Kilkivan, Tiaro, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Childers, Bundaberg, Rosedale, 1770, Miriam Vale, Ubobo and all local areas.
Four tooth Charbray bullocks from South Kolan sold for 466c/$2983. Six and eight tooth Charbray cross bullocks from Biggenden sold for 470c/$3496. Six tooth Grey Brahman bullocks from Wallaville sold for 454c/$2271. Four and six tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Biggenden sold for 422c/$2469. Six tooth Brahman heifers from the Goodnight Scrub sold for 420c/$2332. Brahman cross heifers from Gin Gin sold for 420c/$2437.
Charbray cross cows from Gin Gin sold for 374c/$2086. Charbray cows from Howard sold for 374c/$1928. Brahman cows from the Goodnight Scrub sold for 374c/$2288. Brahman cross cows from Tansey sold for 372c/$2053. Most fat cows sold for 350 to 370c/kg. The medium fat cows sold from 320 to 345c/kg. The better quality store cows sold from 270 to 300c/kg and the aged and lighter conditioned cows sold for 150 to 220c/kg.

Milk tooth Brangus heifers from Mundubbera sold for 460c/$1697. Two and four tooth Charolais cross heifers from Calgoa sold for 446c/$1752. Milk tooth crossbred heifers from Bundaberg sold for 466c/$1689. Milk tooth Brangus heifers from Biggenden sold for 448c/$1546. Most feeder heifers sold from 370 to 420c/kg.
Charolais and Simmental cross weaner heifers from Wallaville sold for 428c/$1053. Milk tooth Santa heifers from Eidsvold sold for 420c/$1119. Charolais cross weaner heifers from Tiaro sold for 366c/$823. Charolais cross weaner heifers from Goodnight sold for 365c/$839. Most weaner heifers sold from 320 to 380c/kg and the weaner heifers under 200kg in store condition sold from 240 to 300c/kg.
