Burnett Livestock and Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday, 8th June saw a yarding of 1900 head.
Cattle were drawn from Mundubbera, Gayndah, Proston, Murgon, Kenilworth, Tiaro, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Childers, Rosedale, Miriam Vale and all local areas.
Four to eight tooth Charbray cross bullocks from Boompa sold for 484c/$3289. Two and four tooth Brangus bullocks from Biggenden sold for 468c/$2598. Two tooth Brahman cross bullocks from Gayndah sold for 474c/$2442. Six and eight tooth bullocks from Ban Ban Springs sold for 476c/$2704.
Two to six tooth Charbray heifers from Gin Gin sold for 450c/$2656. Two to six tooth Charbray cross heifers from Gin Gin sold for 450c/$2264. Two and four tooth heifers from Bundaberg sold for 440c/$2178. Four and six tooth Grey Brahman heifers from Gayndah sold for 442c/$2520. Six tooth Simmental cross heifers from Thangool sold for 448c/$3025.
Grey and Red Brahman cows from Brooweena sold for 392c/$2539. Charbray cows from Gin Gin sold for 386c/$2377. Grey Brahman cows from Gayndah sold for 380c/$2234. Charbray cows from Bundaberg sold for 378c/$2704. Santa cows from Bundaberg sold for 380c/$1948. The medium fat cows sold from 340 to 360c/kg and the store cows from 250 to 320c/kg.
