Simmental weaner steers sell to 450.2c/kg at Biggenden
Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 19th August 2024 saw a yarding of 1015 head.
Cattle were drawn from Flaggy Rock, Calliope, Miriam Vale, Eidsvold, Monto, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Murgon, Eumundi, Tiaro, Hervey Bay and all local areas.
Two to eight tooth Simbrah bullocks from Eidsvold sold for 305c/$2304. Four and six tooth Brangus bullocks from Goodnight Scrub sold for 294c/$1538. Four tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Coringa sold for 289c/$1662. Six tooth Droughtmaster cross heifers from Mount Perry sold for 248c/$1253.
Limousin cross cows from Brooweena sold for 266c/$1823. Brangus cross cows from Gin Gin sold for 249c/$1308. Droughtmaster cross cows from Rosedale sold for 248c/$1334. Red Brahman cows from Gin Gin sold for 249c/$1414.
Milk to four tooth Angus Charolais cross steers from Gigoomgan sold for 380c/$1628. Milk tooth Simmental cross steers from Eidsvold sold for 376c/$1730. Two and four tooth Brangus steers from Goodnight Scrub sold for 362c/$1702. Milk tooth Charbray Brangus cross steers from Rosedale sold for 380c/kg or $1297.
