Cows and calves sell to $2150 at Biggenden
Burnett Livestock and Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks and Store Sale on Monday 13 February saw a yarding of 1300 head.
Cattle were drawn from Wandoan, Chinchilla, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Thangool, Ubobo, Miriam Vale, Lowmead, Gin Gin, Rosedale, Bundaberg, Maryborough, Tiaro, Goomboorian, Murgon, Goomeri, Tansey and all local areas.
Four to eight tooth Droughtmaster cross bullocks from Childers sold for 343c/$1694. Six tooth Charbray bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 338c/$2067. Six and eight tooth Brahman cross bullocks from Biggenden sold for 337c/$2071. Six and eight tooth Santa Hereford cross bullocks from Wandoan sold for 338c/$2407. Four and six tooth Brahman bullocks from Binjour sold for 335c/$1877.
Six tooth Charbray heifers from Gin Gin sold for 317c/$1728. Two and four tooth Charbray heifers from Biggenden sold for 335c/$1841.
