Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden Meatworks & Store Sale on Monday 30th September 2024 saw a yarding of 2423 head.
Cattle were drawn from Wandoan, Theodore, Harrami, Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Booubyjan, Goomeri, Murgon, Manumbar, Kilkivan, Woolooga, Tiaro, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Childers, Gin Gin, Bundaberg, Rosedale, Lowmead, Miriam Vale and all local areas.
Breeder quality Droughtmaster cows and calves from Woolooga sold for $1960. Limousin cross cows and calves from Mundubbera sold for $1460. Large frame crossbred cows and calves from Brooweena sold for $1320.
Four and six tooth Droughtmaster bullocks from Childers sold for 346c/$2163 and the Red Angus cross for 309c/$1660. Four and six tooth Santa Gertrudis Hereford cross steers from Wandoan sold for 340c/$1981. Two to eight tooth Brahman bullocks from Lowmead sold for 325c/$1680.
Four tooth Grey Brahman heifers from Riverleigh sold for 327c/$1881. Four tooth Brahman heifers from Bundaberg sold for 322c/$1498. Six tooth Grey Brahman heifers from Crownthorpe sold for 333c/$1616.
